The Winning Story From Natalie Goodwin

I'm the proud daughter of John Goodwin who is the best dad in the world. One year ago on Father's Day weekend, our dad received a mechanical heart to save his life. Two weeks prior to having this procedure he was given a 3% chance of living and was in a coma for four days. By the grace of God he came out of the coma and has received a renewed chance at life. He is currently waiting for a heart transplant and continues to care for his other three kids, two step-daughters and his grand-daughter. Our dad was a hard worker often putting in 80-100 hours per week to provide for our needs and our wants. He traveled to all of our sporting events, attended every school play or concert all while suffering from his heart condition. He has always been there for us, putting our needs before his. There are no words to describe what he means to us. He puts us all first even through all of this. All to often we forget to say thank you for all the wonderful things he does for us. We thank God that he is alive today and we can continue to enjoy the love he has shown us. Dad has always wanted to upgrade the stereo in his truck but he wouldn't spend the money on himself. Just imagine a 38 year old man that still thinks he's in his 20's!!!! Our father is the MOST deserving father to win the Car-Fi/Q102 Dad Rocks prize. We can't think of a better way to celebrate his one year anniversary than seeing him rewarded with this awesome prize!! But we can only do this with your help.......thank you!!!

Whether it’s your babies daddy or your sugar daddy, Car-Fi & Q102 want to know who’s your daddy and why does he deserve a thousand dollar shopping spree at Car-Fi this Father’s Day?

Nominate Dads on Car-Fi’s facebook page. Just post why you feel your entry is the most deserving father. Thoughtfulness, originality and creativity all count so get busy with your submissions.

Must be 18 years of age at beginning of contest to submit an entry. Start date June 7th 2010.

The Fathers name must be in the content of your submission.

Nominated Dad must live within 100 miles of metro Springfield MO.

Deadline for entries 9am June 18th.

Judging will be done by the staff of Q102 and Car Fi on June 18th and winner will be announced on-air (Q102) at 1pm June 19th.
